Hiro Mizuno

Hiro Mizuno is the former Special Envoy of U.N. Secretary General on Innovative Finance and Sustainable Investments, the former Non-Executive Board Member of Tesla, Inc., and the former Special Advisor to Minster of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan. He previously served as Executive Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Government Pension Investment Fund of Japan (GPIF), the largest pension fund in the world with AUM $1.5 trillion. Prior to joining GPIF, Mr. Mizuno was a partner at Coller Capital, a London-based private equity firm. He formerly worked for Sumitomo Trust & Banking Co., Ltd. in Japan, Silicon Valley and New York.

Fabrizio Ferraro

Fabrizio Ferraro is Professor of Strategic Management at IESE Business School and Academic Director of the IESE Institute for Sustainability Leadership. His research centers on the institutionalization of responsible and impact investing in the financial sector. He’s currently writing a book on the topic, tentatively titled: “How Values Move Markets: Responsible Investing Beyond the ESG Culture War.”  A recognized expert in this field, Fabrizio has served as a member and past Chair of the Academic Advisory Committee of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), the world's leading network of responsible investors.  Fabrizio's ongoing research continues to shape the conversation on the role of finance in achieving sustainability and addressing grand challenges like climate change.

Claudia Kruse

Claudia has spent over 25 years in the investment industry in London on the buy and sell-side, and since 2009 at APG Asset Management, the fiduciary manager for Dutch pensionfunds managing about 600bn EUR on their behalf. Her career has been anchored in responsible investing and corporate governance, and she was a member of the EU HLEG on Sustainable Finance in 2017. She currently sits on the Advisory Committee on reporting & accountancy at the Dutch Financial Markets Authority (AFM), and on the Board of the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC).

Pedro Guazo

Pedro Guazo is head of international and responsible investing for Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM). He leads the firm’s EMEA and APAC business and is a part of NTAM’s global leadership team. He also leads the responsible investing platform, including portfolio integration and research, client engagements and regulator engagements. Pedro has 30+ years of experience as an investor and business leader in major global financial institutions across Europe and North America. Most recently, he served as chief executive officer for the $100-billion United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund’s Office of Investment Management. The fund is recognized as a leader in responsible investing and is a founding signatory to the Principles for Responsible Investment. Pedro has held high-level management roles within the United Nations system for 15 years, including chief financial officer and treasurer, and he has worked extensively in the Mexican financial sector. His expertise spans investment management, financial management, responsible investing, corporate governance, talent development and risk management.

Shundrawn A. Thomas

Shundrawn A. Thomas serves as the President of Asset Management. In his previous role as Executive Vice President, Head of Funds and Managed Accounts Group he was responsible for the development, management and distribution of the firm's mutual funds, institutional mutual funds and exchange-traded funds as well as related business activities. He also oversaw the Managed Accounts practice which provides investment advisory solutions to existing clients and financial intermediaries. His broad executive responsibilities involved developing long-term strategy, executing operating plans, managing client and vendor relationships and developing and retaining talented professionals.

 

Previously, Shundrawn served as President and Chief Executive of Northern Trust Securities, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Northern Trust Corporation. In addition to his general management responsibilities, he was responsible for overseeing financial management and working with regulators including FINRA and the Securities and Exchange Commission. He also served as Head of Corporate Strategy for Northern Trust Corporation. As a direct report to the Chief Executive Officer, he supported executive management with key strategic planning initiatives. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Shundrawn served as a vice president for Goldman Sachs and held positions in sales, trading and research with Morgan Stanley.

 
Shundrawn received a B.S. degree in Accounting from Florida A&M University and an M.B.A. degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He has also completed executive education programs in corporate strategy at Chicago Booth School of Business and corporate governance at University of Notre Dame Mendoza School of Business. Shundrawn currently holds the FINRA series 7, 63 and 24 securities licenses.
